【Kuronita-Kagura】
Kuronita-Kagura has been preserved and inherited in Kuronita, which is a village of 36 households and located in Mukaiyama Minami District, Takachiho-cho. The tea fields spread over the land of the village, and the most of households are occupied by production of Japanese tea. There is Kuronita Jinja(Shrine) that enshrines the father and son of Kuronita-Bungonokami who had served as Aso family’s chief vassal and died an unnatural death in the late Muromachi period, as well as there are more statues of deities and Buddha such as Benzaiten, Yakushi-Nyorai and Rokujizo which are worshiped and adored by villagers.
Kuronita-Kagura belongs to the line of Iwaigawa-Kagura in Hinokage-cho. It was passed down to Otome, Sofutsu, Ogari and Kuronita villages, and anciently had been transmitted from Morozuka-son via Oohito-Kagura of Hinokage-cho. Afterwards the master of Kuronita-Kagura acquired and introduced some Kagura of the Mitai district, because some programs had been lost in the early Showa period,
